DA is cool cause of the whole social networking style it's got going on. It's easy to follow artists and get feedback, and there's a ton of content to look through.
There's a few things I hate about the site though;
Flash stuff is very under appreciated, and they rarely feature anything good.
Flash ads aren't allowed, so developers really can't make any money by posting their work there.
The site keeps trying to scam money off people with useless subscription features.
Oh well, just wanted to get that out.
So you'll "be as active as always" and you just wanted everyone to know that you think Newgrounds is annoying bullshit and basically not worth your time...? Interesting.
I guess we've had different end user experiences.

To be serious though, you win some and you lose some and apparently you don't have what it takes to be on the top at Newgrounds. I understand what you said and reviewers suck and voters suck and everyone sucks (I partially agree). I've had portal entries that were going to be in the top 3 suddenly voted down with a minute left, putting my entry into 5th! I was so mad... so mad I wrote a post exactly like this.
Just relax and keep trying, if you check out my flash history you will see what a horrible piece of fetted shit my first entry was... over time, you get better if you stick with it, if you're really 16 you're mad young.. stop being young and dramatic.. post on deviant art.. but know that you're kidding yourself if you think it's newgrounds fault you aren't on the frontpage.
It hasn't been my goal to make the front page for quite a while, and I'm not blaming the site for not acknowledging me. I'm not even saying that I want the attention. I'm saying that I've realised that I'm making art for the sake of making art. Most animators here, including myself, joined with the intention of being popular. THAT JUST AIN'T THE WAY TO BE.
I hate myself for saying this, because it's so cliche, but I think I have what it takes to make it here, but I've just never tried hard enough. If I make things that are special to me, It's not too hard to imagine getting the front page. However, I don't want my driving force to be the quest for popularity, if I'm trying hard for something, it shouldn't be for superficial reasons.
I understand your frustration but I can't blame Newgrounds for it. You pointed many flaws NG has but none of them are a real reason to leave this place, I think the real reason is because you don't get any recognition or attention here. My advice to you is: practice, practice, practice. When you get better, no one here is gonna give you a bad score, no one...well, probably 10 or 20, but most of them will be 10s. Delicious 10s! And at that moment, you are gonna love NG ones again.
SHUT UP !, look at your skills, your 16 years old and you draw so nice. And that`s normal that you get bored of things and very fast get in love with something new. And later forget about it. But try to focus on things, that`s our problem, and if you make animation you need to focus a lot :) Good luck man.

You're right. Newgrounds is pretty outdated. I know they are supposed to be having a BIG REDESIGN soon, but why not just update things one at a time, slowly making the site better? I find that more sensible than just throwing everything us at once. One good thing about Newgrounds is, if you're decent, you'll get noticed quickly and your work will be seen by thousands of people. But NOBODY gives any kind of positive criticism on here. Either they love your work or they are an asshole to you. The DA community is very friendly. I love all my watchers. They are the nicest people ever.

People have their moments, etc etc. I think you're right for realizing that newgrounds isn't the "be all/end all" of becoming who you are. I don't hate it as much as you say, but you're right about a lot of things.
I guess everyone needs their rant.
