This is quite clever.

It really feels like I'm reflecting on a moment that didn't happen, do you know how cool that is? All of the vocal lines were very powerful, and it told an interesting story. Old friends and old feelings, I'm able to relate to this on an emotional level. Thanks.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Glad you can relate. It's weird to dust something like this off. I appreciate your ears Walrussss, my man.

Whoa-ho!

I really like the percussion glitchery, it does a great job at creating a desperate mood. However, the main melody is forgettable in my opinion, and it's the focus of the song.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

What makes it forgettable for you? It's fairly simple. A declining melody, with slight variation. I quite generally never want anything to stand out too much on it's own. it's all supposed to be proportioned to be a cohesive solid.

Way to go, Fabby!

Are you into Anamanaguchi? He totally cashed in on this type of music. I forgot this was on loop for like fifteen minutes, it's THAT cool. Holy dicks, the guitar is so crisp. Don't stop being great.

Pretty sweeeeet :D

Let's play the "What does this song make you think of game"!

A Dark figure rises from a geyser of light with white feathers flying everywhere.
He fades into an urban city that alternates between being underwater and in the sky.
Suddenly, he confronts an identical doppelganger betwixt the sea and the sky.
They stare each other down and eventually go there separate ways: one up, one down.
Posing as each other, they continue to live empty lives in their respective worlds.
It feels like a tragedy, as no one knew the change took place, because the two can't be hppy where ever they go.

That was fun, thanks.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

:)

awesome.

It shows how far you've come.

It's miles away from your other work. It sounds pretty nice, but I don't like it on the basis that it doesn't invoke any emotion. I can't really imagine a scene to fit it... other than me laying in a coma. Bit of a downer. I liked it, but I would just skip it if it play on my iPod.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Heh heh, understandable. There's a good deal, mainly the way it was mastered, and eq'd, that I'd like to change. I like the melody work in this. I'm sure someone else may have different feelings, perhaps. I dunno, I've just been having fun posting old works.

Hmmmm.

Didn't QUITE like this one, I think there was just too much going on. The Guitar at around 3:30 kind of saved it though.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

aww. Thats alright. You can't win'em all.

This is great

I really love the odd instruments, it reminds me of boards of canada. I really can't find anything wrong with this. Don't stop making music :U

I really like this one.

I was a bit mad over miscellaneous inconveniences in my silly little life, but this cheered me up. Thanks a bunch. I think it might sound cool if you played around with some horns in this, Maybe a french horn? that's my favorite brass instrument sound, right at those notes that start at 00:04. I also thought this would be great for flashes, during happy scenes. I was actually planning a scene that this would work flawlessly into, of course I would give you your proper credit. Knowing me it'll take a while to get to the point where I'm actually far along enough to start requesting music, but all your songs are just so cool. Thanks for brightening things up on a cloudy day. kthxbye.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Thats good it cheered ya up. I suppose it has a sort of meloncholy vibe / yet uplifting, at least, that's what I hear. More of a "used to it" vibe. Would like to play around with french horns. Wish I had some. I'm not much for synthetic classical sounds. Take care.

Nice!

I usually check your page for anything new every other day, ...no new songs, news-posts, guess he died. *now* like 3 songs in a week! This song is intense, secret agent style! Oh god, it... it... loops flawlessly! sweet job on your part. Keep it up, I like this style a little more than you were using those kinda "chippy techno" soundfonts, it's more like your oldish stuff which I like a lot. Anyway I'm not working on Darkworld Syndicate right now because I really want to evolve my art style, I am NOT digging it the way it is if I were to use it in DWS. I'm working on a light hearted animation... about my friends and I fighting to the death... heh. I'm mainly doing it for practice, I also really want it to get frontpage'd so when I make darkworld I'll already have a small sliver of fame to lean on. Also my dog is doing well, life is good right now, I wish you the same. BYE

Nice!

The title remind's me of DarkWorld. I seem to notice the sadness is more prominent than usual. Very appropriate that you released this. my dog has a tumor in his esophagus, his days are numbered at this point. right now he's asleep with his head rested on my hand. it's terrible listening to this as i watch him breath knowing theres a malignant tumor blocking his airway. It can't be removed because its dangerous to put bulldogs on anesthesia. He's to old to be put through the stress anyway. when i'm done writing this i'm gonna record him snoring for like half an hour (it's like a white noise to me.) maybe I'll incorporate it into a song one day. any way i'm probably gonna listen to this when hes gone and cry. no worries, i like the song... but now memories are attached to it. thanks i guess, another thing to remind me of him. I don't know why im telling you this, I guess i feel like I know you on some level.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Hey man, I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. I did write this short track when I was feeling a bit down myself. It came out very quickly while I was working on another track. This sort of sad lullaby. I've always wanted a dog myself, I would like that human to animal companionship. I hope to one day have a Welsh Corgi. I can understand that it will be hard for you to give up that relationship. I wish it wasn't so. I like the idea of you recording him. That will be really awesome for a future project, I must say. Very emotional, too. We have shared ourselves creatively to one another and there for we know a deep aspect of one another. That is a start. I really hope things look up for you. It sucks (yet I appreciate you being able to share yourself).
